Set of two multifunctional transport crates in 1:87 / H0 scale
With the MULtifunctional Transport Rack—which was modeled as closely as possible after a real-world prototype—another interesting innovation in modern combined freight transport is making its way onto the H0 model railroad layout.
The prototype enables the transport of semi-trailers that cannot be handled by cranes via rail. To do this, the semi-trailer is positioned on a special transport frame that serves as an interface between the road vehicle and the pocket car. This allows even conventional semi-trailers without their own gripping edges to be used in combined transport.
The multifunctional transport frame incorporates this innovative transport solution and enables the prototypical reproduction of modern intermodal transport chains on a 1:87 scale.
Whether in a modern freight train, at a transshipment terminal, or as a standalone cargo item—the multifunctional transport frame adds extra variety to combined freight transport.
