Model features:

• Solid construction from die-cast zinc with an unladen weight of approx. 72g per carriage half and a high-quality paint finish
• The base of the pocket is formed using an inserted etched metal sheet to create the lowest possible pocket. This means that the tyres of, for example, MEGA lorry trailers disappear into the wagon pocket in true-to-prototype fashion. Furthermore, this design allows the internal double-T profile of the stiffening frame to be depicted. An added bonus: this also ensures that the rain drainage holes are reproduced true to the prototype, which are particularly noticeable when the wagons are running solo.
• A clear view of the bogie, modelled in detail in this area, true to the prototype.
• Intricate carriage livery on the top, the side panels and also the bogies. All livery is applied using pad printing.
• Folding latches and container mounts in yellow, fully functional. The folding latches can either be folded in to support a container or mounted in the outer position, hanging down as per the prototype. Depending on the container’s weight and the mounting position, a drop of superglue may be required to secure them. The folding latches are delicately crafted in keeping with the prototype, with wall thicknesses of 1 mm.
• Folding bolts fitted with container pins as standard and can be replaced with the enclosed folding bolts featuring a hole for containers in accordance with NEM380 (e.g. Märklin).
• Support stand with coupling plates in various heights included. A true-to-life version for solo journeys and (tank) container loading, featuring a universal coupling plate for typical kingpins on model lorry trailers of various makes. The support stand and coupling plate can be fixed in any position along the longitudinal axis using adhesive. The mounting position depends on the model lorry trailer used.
• Intricately reproduced wiring harnesses made from spring steel wire, some of which are bent multiple times.
• Short-coupling linkage with return spring and NEM 362 shaft at the outer ends of the carriages. Fixed coupling between the two halves of the carriage. Various coupling lengths are included for display cabinet assembly and model railway use.
• The coupling mount can be swapped for a fully enclosed version on the display model or at the rear of the train. This also replicates the pressure vessel found on the original.
• Realistic loading of lorry trailers is possible, as well as up to two 20-foot containers, one 20-foot container in combination with a 30-foot container, or a single 20-foot, 30-foot, 40-foot or 45-foot container.
• Minimum running radius of 358 mm. To ensure optimum running performance, ensure the track is straight and free of kinks, both vertically and horizontally.
• Length over buffers (LOB): approx. 425–428 mm (depending on the coupling rod used)
• Prototype-accurate small wheel diameters. Wheel sets are black nickel-plated
